Chakras are the 7 main energetic centers in our body, starting at the base of the spine, up to the crown of the head. All crystals are connected to specific chakras, and they are believed to bring that specific area of your body into balance.  Each chakra corresponds to a specific area of our physical body, as well as our psychological, emotional and spiritual states of being.  It is important to keep our chakras aligned, balanced and open for “Prana”, or vital energy, to move through us so we can stay vibrant, healthy and alive.

 

The first, or root chakra, starts at the base of the spine in the tailbone area and encompasses the bladder and the lower colon. It connects us to the Earth, helps us feel safe in this world and helps us fulfill our basic needs. It is represented by the color red, and crystals that are red, black, brown and earthy.

The fourth, or heart chakra, is a bridge between our physical body, mind, emotions and spirit, placed right between the 3 lower chakras [of matter] and upper 3 chakras [of spirit]. It connects us to unconditional love, compassion, faith, forgiveness and inner peace. It is represented by the color green + pink and crystals that contain these colors, and some white ones as well.
